Product Care

Pearls

Please protect your piece from beauty sprays such as: perfumes, moisturisers, body spray, hairspray.
Avoid touching your piece with oily/dirty fingertips
Wiping the pearls with a damp, soft cloth after you wear them will ensure that they remain free of harmful build-up of compounds that may damage the nacre of your pearls. Always keep your pearls separated from hard jewelry items such as rings or bracelets to prevent them from being scratched. Pearls are best kept in a soft-cloth pouch or a soft-lined jewelry box. Never store your pearls in an airtight environment such a a zip lock bag. Pearls are organic and do contain trace amounts of water. Storing them in an airtight environment will cause them to become brittle and damage the luster.

S925 Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is naturally prone to tarnishing. Please don't consider this a fault. With some love and care, you can gently polish your silver piece and restore its beauty.

Please follow these simple steps to ensure your piece is well loved and cared for:

  • Please protect your piece from beauty sprays such as: perfumes, moisturisers, body spray, hairspray

  • Avoid touching your piece with oily/dirty fingertips

  • Please remove your piece before showering, swimming, exercising and washing your hands. Exposing silver jewellery to water or respiration will quickly tarnish the surface.

  • Store your piece in its protective linen/cotton pouch

Rhodium Plated Sterling Silver

Rhodium plating silver jewelry as you will see if researched ensures jewellery pieces are highly lustrous and remain tarnish-free for a long time. However over time depending on how the jewellery has been cared for the plating at some point wears off, the white of the silver will come through, but will not be noticeable like gold. Those exposed sections may acquire some tarnish but this can easily be polished at home.

  • Polish your piece gently and carefully when it needs it. Use a sterling silver polishing cloth or gently polish the surface with a soft bristle tooth brush.

  • Store your piece in its protective linen/cotton pouch

18ct Gold plating

All of our gold plated pieces have been 18ct gold plated over 925 sterling silver. This is to ensure the highest material quality is achieved. Gold plating is naturally prone to tarnishing and wearing off over time. Please don't consider this a fault. Please avoid using any beauty products when wearing your gold plated jewellery. Some beauty products may have a negative reaction with gold plated jewellery which will result in changes to the colour or texture of your piece over time. Always ensure your beauty products are completely dry and removed from your hands before you wear or touch your plated piece.

Exposing plated jewellery to water or perspiration will cause the thin layer of gold to disintegrate and wear off.

  • Always clean you piece after wearing it with a soft cotton ball or jewellery cloth

  • Store your piece in its protective linen/cotton pouch
